What’s Happening October 19-23 on Stories From a Distance

Stories from a Distance encourages students to find community through conversation. Students can expect to be welcome into a virtual space (over Zoom) created by and for students looking to invest in meaningful connections within their campus community over the Summer.

ResourceXChange: Let’s Talk… Interviews

Monday, October 19 at 6:30 – 7:30 PM, Hosted by Sanskriti

Do you find yourself fretting about how you come across during an interview? Wondering how to answer those “tell me about yourself” questions? Interested in how others feel before and after an interview? Come join our peer interview prep session to practice answers to common interview questions, share your tips for success, and talk about how you can feel your most confident self before an interview.

Fireside Chats: Origami and Chat

Wednesday, October 21 at 6:00 – 7:00 PM, Hosted by Mona

This Wednesday, take a break with the Stories from a Distance team as we unwind and bond over origami and casual conversation. All skill levels are welcome as we follow a step-by-step guide to make some classic origami designs. Participants are welcome to share their own designs or just follow along. In all of our sessions, participation is encouraged but never required!

FreestyleFriday: Macaroni and Chill

Friday, October 23 at 6:00 – 7:00 PM, Hosted by Sanskriti

Calling all chefs — amateur and professional! Join the Stories from the Distance team as we go into the kitchen and prepare some easy eats. All are welcome to participate from the comfort of their own kitchen or just watch along. Participants can expect a variety of options and alternatives from simple three ingredient options to more complex concoctions.
