This past year, Student Life IT worked with Central ITS to enhance the technological infrastructure at Accessibility Services located at 455 Spadina Avenue. The focus was on upgrading the peer-to-peer wireless backbone connection and reconfiguring the network wiring closet in preparation for the installation of the U of T WiFi network. This initiative is integral to the seamless operation of Accessibility Services, ensuring improved and stable internet access for both staff and students.
Recognizing the challenges posed by the original network at 455 Spadina, located outside the U of T campus, the organization prioritized this upgrade to mitigate historical service disruptions. The reconfiguration of the wiring closet not only addressed past issues but also laid the foundation for a vastly improved U of T WiFi service experience.
