In pursuit of its commitment to identify and implement process improvements, TCard Services successfully launched a redesigned website, offering a seamless experience for students, staff, faculty and U of T community members. The platform now features clear and concise information, tools to reduce the complexity of the UTORid/TCard process and improved website maintenance for staff. 

The goal of the new website is to support wayfinding and access to relevant information, and reduce the complexity of the TCard and UTORid processes. Feedback such as, “I appreciate the clear and non-technical calls to action and I loved that right beside it was the required documentation, just where the person would need to see it,” indicates that the goal was reached. 

The new photo and documentation upload system is also accessible via the TCard website. Now, newly admitted students do not have to complete a remote appointment with staff to have their photo and documentation validated and get their UTORid before arriving on campus. This is easier, saves time, and allows students more options for their TCard photo.  

A new documentation tool has also been added to the website that helps students determine what documentation they need to present to get their UTORid/TCard. The tool is helpful to incoming students, their parents, registrar guidance counsellors, and other U of T community members who need to get a TCard and are not sure what documentation is required.
