Healthy U Crew Mental Health Fair (1.5)

On March 8, 2023, the HealthyU Crew (a Health & Wellness peer health education group), comprised of dedicated undergraduate and graduate students, hosted the inaugural HealthyU Crew Mental Health Fair, attracting more than 375 U of T students.

This groundbreaking event fostered a supportive environment, uniting campus and community partners, along with mental-health focused student groups, including the Multi-Faith Centre, Centre for International Experience, Sexual & Gender Diversity Office, Well Being Collective @ Hart House, MoveU, the Mental Health Students’ Association and more. The goal was to raise awareness about the many mental health services and supports available to U of T students.

The HealthyU Crew Mental Health Fair embodied the group’s health-equity approach to delivering evidence-informed health education. Participants not only delved into informative sessions, but also engaged in self-care with complimentary massages, yoga stretch breaks and nourishing snacks. The event facilitated connections among stakeholders, peers and mental health resources.
