In the second year of completing a Masters in Social Work, students are required to find a practicum placement to develop competence as a practitioner. Graduates, employers and educators consider field education to be one of the most important elements of social work education.
Accessibility Services works with the Factor-Inwentash Faculty of Social Work to provide two placements within their service. These placements are student-centric, academic and work-integrated learning experiences, and three full-time staff members have been hired through this experience.
