Mindful Reading Series (1.3)

The Mindful Reading Series is a great example of thoughtful program development that recognizes a need and addresses it: in this case, the increasingly complex student relationship with reading. This program invites an exploration of that, while also offering insight and concrete strategies towards improved reading practices – addressing attention, the value of skimming, deep approaches to reading, multimodes of reading and, importantly, the self-compassion that can help mend that complicated relationship.

Delivered to 82 unique attendees this past year, the program is currently being delivered by Ben Pottruff and Tori Sheldon. The Mindful Reading Series is also a good example of program evolution as new collaborators have participated and contributed over the years.
