Manager of EDIA Initiatives hired (5.3)

Following the report generated by the Student Life Staff EDIA Advisory Committee in 2021, senior leadership and staff felt it was critical to create a role to help guide the implementation of the highlighted recommendations and support EDIA advancement within Student Life.  

After a thorough search and interview process that involved many Student Life community members, Mikhail Burke was hired in the role of Manager of EDIA Initiatives and began the position in January 2023. 

During the first few months of the position, Dr. Burke has been integral in moving forward initiatives such as a standing staff EDIA committee, connecting with institutional stakeholders to address communication barriers to staff disclosure/complaint processes, and developing an inclusive PM hiring process framework and guide.
