Student experiences are best understood by students. Our peer-to-peer approach ensures students who share their stories with us have a great experience, while giving our team of student employees great hands-on experience with design thinking. We’ve built trust with students, staff, alumni and community partners over the years through our commitment to participatory design and ethical and equity-centred design research practices.

At the Innovation Hub, we’re committed to making an impact while embracing diverse perspectives. To ensure that the changes we propose reflect the multi-faceted needs of the U of T community, we work with many different campus partners, interview widely and hire students from all disciplines. We worked in collaboration with U of T Libraries to understand student experiences to help revitalize Robarts 4th Floor Reading Room.

INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS: FIRST 48 HOURS IN CANADA

We produced a documentary following 8 incoming international student journeys with a focus on their first 48 hours in Canada.
