The School of Graduate Studies (SGS) is planning to launch a Centre for Graduate Mentorship and Supervision (CGMS) to support the supervisory experience of graduate students. The SGS CGMS and the Innovation Hub want to hear from you about how such a Centre can best support your experience with supervisors and mentors in your graduate program. The Innovation Hub will run student-led dialogue-based feedback sessions to consult graduate students on what kind of programing and resources this Centre could offer and to gain a deeper understanding of how graduate students experience supervision and mentorship.
Graduate students from all programs and divisions, tri-campus, research stream as well as professional programs are encouraged to participate. You are invited to contribute thoughts online and/or opt-in for one of our virtual dialogue-based sessions. Those participating in the virtual sessions will receive a $10 gift card as a thank you.
The Innovation Hub will run five virtual student-led dialogue-based feedback sessions on ZOOM on Monday, October 26th 11AM to 12:30PM EST, Tuesday October 27th 1:30PM to 3PM EST, Wednesday October 28th 12PM to 1:30PM EST, Thursday October 29th 4:30PM to 6PM EST, and Friday October 30th 3PM to 4:30PM EST. If you are unavailable to participate in any virtual feedback session and still would like to share a few thoughts about your graduate school experience, we would be grateful to read them and incorporate them into our project summary. The last day to contribute and express interest in participating for the virtual sessions is Tuesday, October 20th.
If you are interested in participating in the feedback sessions, we kindly ask you to answer the following questions in the form linked below to help us determine which feedback session is a best fit for you and your schedule. In the interest of confidentiality, raw data will only be viewed by members of the Innovation Hub, and data shared in our final part will contain absolutely no identifying information. Your name and email address will only be used to follow-up about the feedback sessions.
