It is week four of term and I am already missing the chocolate-consuming, snuggled in comfy clothing, social function-filled days of the winter break. Not to mention that I am frozen to my core. Yes I know, it was way…
Closer to the Art
Art is great. I don’t always understand it, but it’s still great. Being able to convey feelings or stories in many ways is a treasure. Even if you’re like me and the best image you can draw is a stick-figure,…
Study Time Playlist II: Fall Break Edition
It feels like it was just yesterday when I was playing an active role in our economy by shopping for back-to-school supplies. It was a simpler time. The only things I had to worry about were preparing for Orientation Week,…
Study Time Playlist
I feel like I’m not the only person in the world who’s had trouble focusing on schoolwork. I mean if you’ve never had difficulty studying in your life, then I can only assume that you’re a deity that has ascended…
A Musical Treasure Hunt
I spent this past Sunday on a musical treasure hunt on Toronto Island. The Poor Pilgrim Island show has been running for seven years, and I’ve made it a summer tradition for the past three. After a brisk ferry ride,…

Take a ’90s break
When it came time to sit down and write this post, I have to admit I was at a loss for words. With the semester coming to a close and everyone hunkering down for the long slog of finishing those…

I imagined seeing the giant bells looming above my head, and having to step haphazardly between cables and wires that keep the clock running. Oh, and a dark, sombre organ-like instrument taking up a wall. No Quasimodo, of course. I'm a pretty realistic person. So I braced myself, put on my best smile (all the while trying to catch my breath) and walked in...
