Young people in the GTA have choices when it comes where to attend high school. We have provided information on the school boards located where the U of T has campuses.

Toronto District School Board

In the Toronto District School Board (TDSB), students have access to a variety of schools, programs and courses. To find your local school, you can search on the TDSB website.

Options within Toronto’s schools include Indigenous education, Africentric programs, an LGBTQI2+ program, French programs, arts-based schools, athletics, STEM-focused schools and more.

• Africentric Secondary Programs
  Applications are made directly to the high schools that offer the programs (The Leonard Braithwaite Program at Winston Churchill CI and the Africentric Secondary Program at Downsview SS).
• Indigenous Schools
  Learn more about the TDSB’s indigenous schools and Native Second Language Programs. Contact schools directly, as well as the Urban Indigenous Education Centre of Excellence.
• French programs
  Extended and immersion programs are offered at certain high schools across the TDSB. Learn more about extended and French immersion programs.
• Secondary Central Student Interest Programs
  Students apply to Centralized Programs through an online application that will be available from November 7 to November 25, 2022 at 4 pm  (this webpage also has a recording of a webinar). Learn more about each of the programs: Arts; CyberARTS; Elite Athletes; Exceptional Athletes; Integrated Technology; International Baccalaureate; Leadership Pathway and Math, Science and Technology.
• Alternative Schools
  Find a list of alternative schools here. Applications for secondary alternative schools are received at each secondary alternative school. (The TDSB’s Triangle Program, Canada’s only high school program for  LGBTQI2+, is within the Oasis Alternative Secondary School.)
