University of Toronto's Poet in Community

About

The Poet in Community uses writing to address the interests, passions and needs of students.

Through workshops, conversations and one-to-one meetings, this programme offers a “third space.” It isn’t formal like a classroom or committee; nor is it casual as a coffee shop. It is a learning experience that is facilitated but without grades. There’s no teacher and no boss.

Do you want to explore through writing?

Check out this blog for upcoming events or join the Poet in Community Facebook page.

While most events are open to the general U of T community, the Poet in Community designs workshops for specific departments, faculties, and curricula. Some of these include the departments of Engineering, Physical Education and Health, Nursing, and Medicine. If you’d like to know about workshops designed for specific programs, please send a note through the Facebook page.
