As a continuation from last Post<\/a>\u2026.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

Well, exams are over (you wish!) and you\u2019ve got a few nights to party before the Christmas Break rolls in. Here are some awesome restaurants to check out and end the school term with a bang!<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n\n

Restaurants<\/h3>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

The Annex:<\/a> along Bloor Street between Bathurst and St. George, is home to many restaurants, including those of Italian, Middle Eastern, African, Indian and Japanese. Many of them cater to students and they provide a good meal for the reasonably broke.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

Baldwin Street<\/a>: between McCaul and Beverly offer many restaurants including Thai, Chinese, Mexican, Italian and Japanese (many have outdoor terraces, perfect for spring and summer weather).<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

Kensington Market<\/a> and Chinatown<\/a>: located between College and Dundas on Nassau street, and at Dundas and Spadina respectively, both are located close to each other. They feature a number of restaurants, but more importantly \u2013 grocery stores!<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

Harbord Street<\/a>: just west of Spadina, this street harbours (yes, pun intended) specialties like Harbord Bakery<\/a>, and pizza places like Cora\u2019s<\/a> and Papa Ceo\u2019s<\/a> (Spadina and Harbord). Papa Ceo\u2019s is open till, and delivers till 4AM! This is great for a late night study, or a group meeting.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

Little Italy<\/a>: located on College between Bathurst and Ossington, there is some of the best dining in\u00a0the city\u00a0with a wide range of prices. Some restaurants are reasonably priced (Caf\u00e9 Diplomatico<\/a>) and delis in the area and there are many sidewalk caf\u00e9s (great for summer). There are more pricey options such as Teatro<\/a> and Gamelle<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

If you are looking for something rich and fancy, let me suggest something special for you.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

Lone Star Texas Grill<\/a>: Front Street, one block from University Ave. has great fajitas, chips and salsa, and many more menu items rumoured by native-born Texans to be the real deal.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

The Old Spaghetti Factory<\/a>: found on Esplanade (yes, its far) \u2013 this tasty joint combines values and carbs to make an awesome meal!<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

Richtree<\/a>: Yonge Street\u00a0at the BCE Place, Richtree is exactly what name says \u2013 expensive! But a fun dining experience, nonetheless!<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n\n

Fast Food<\/h3>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

So you\u2019re looking at my list thinking \u201cShe\u2019s nuts! She thinks I\u2019m going to Richtree!\u201d<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

Okay, let me give you some basics \u2013 the fast foods.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

McDonald\u2019s<\/a>: it\u2019s a bit of walk, but hey, you need to burn the calories. Located on Bloor St. W between St. George and Avenue Road, McDonald\u2019s caters to all your deliciously greasy needs.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

Burger King<\/a>: Spadina and College Street, southeast corner \u2013 their fries are good.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

Swiss Chalet<\/a>: a wonderful restaurant specializing in chicken \u2013 you can find them on University, south of the trisection (yes, the word I use to describe three streets meeting) of University, Queen\u2019s Park and College Street. I had trouble finding it, but know its South of the intersection, about half a block, in the Hydro Buiding. You\u2019ll pass a Tim Hortons<\/a> there first.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

College Street: between St. George and University offers Second Cup<\/a>, Subway<\/a>, Starbucks<\/a>, and all sorts of exotic food. Continue on College towards Spadina can help you find a Pita Pit<\/a>, Tim Hortons and more.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n

Pub Food<\/h3>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

While I am not a drinker, I\u2019m going to cater to all students. College Street, between University and Spadina features O\u2019Grady\u2019s<\/a>, Molly Bloom\u2019s<\/a> and Einstein\u2019s<\/a> (which I believe is near a discount bookstore, so you can read and drink at the same time!)<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

You can check out Spadina which has The Ferret & Fi<\/a>rkin, as well as Red Room<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

Bloor Street West has Gabby\u2019s<\/a> (great wing specials on Monday and Tuesday nights) and the east side of Bay Street has The Foxes Den<\/a>, which apparently (according to my handy-dandy Res book) serves great clam chower.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n\n

Vegetarian Food<\/h3>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

You can find a large variety of vegetarian food in several locations in Toronto.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

Buddha\u2019s Vegetarian Foods<\/a> and Caf\u00e9 668<\/a>, are all located on Dundas West and have great food. Speaking of Caf\u00e9s, check out King\u2019s Caf\u00e9<\/a> on Augusta, and Fresh<\/a> on Bloor Street at Spadina.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

I\u2019ve been meaning to try The Garden (it looks awesome) \u2013 its on Dundas Street near the Eaton Centre<\/a>, and it really looks like it has a cool ambiance\u2026.if anyone tries it, post a comment and let me know how it is.<\/p>\n
