I thought I would share some of this information in case other people are also struggling to understand the CESB!\r\n\r\n\"The<\/a>\r\n\r\nWhat is the CESB?\u00a0<\/b>\r\n\r\nThe CESB is a government relief benefit intended for post-secondary students and recent post-secondary grads who are unable to find work due to COVID-19. If you are eligible for CESB, you can get a cheque or direct deposit from the government of $1,250\/4-week period from now until August. Also note that if you have dependents who you are looking after or have a disability, you are eligible for $2000 instead of $1,250. Keep in mind that the CESB is taxable income, so make sure you save some of your money to repay during the 2021 tax period\u2014I made sure to set a percentage aside in my savings account.\u00a0<\/span>\r\n\r\n
