But when you compete with yourself, everyone wants to help you.\"<\/blockquote>\r\nThis book taught me that the more I reflect on the why, the more I can align my values with my actions, and hopefully inspire others to do the same.\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li><strong>Mandela\u2019s Way: Lessons on Life, Love and Courage by Richard Stengel<\/strong><\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<blockquote>And that is how he would describe courage: pretending to be brave. Fearlessness is stupidity. Her messages of self-love and women\u2019s empowerment inspire me. The quotation I chose, reflects how I\u2019m trying to live this year. Especially in university and on social media, I find myself fall down the rabbit hole of comparing myself to others, creating a competition in my mind. But Rupi\u2019s poetry reminds me that we are on our own paths, and should choose to be supportive and empathetic towards each other.\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li><strong>Oh, the Places You\u2019ll Go! by Dr. Seuss<\/strong><\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<blockquote>Congratulations! Today is you day. You're off and away!\"<\/blockquote>\r\nI adore children\u2019s books, especially those with a good rhyme. The world of Dr. Seuss is as colourful as it is weird. I enjoy this book, especially now in my 20s, because it encourages me to embrace my journey in all its colours and weirdness.\r\n\r\n&nbsp;\r\n\r\n&nbsp;\r\n\r\n&nbsp;\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li><strong>Harry Potter and the Philosopher\u2019s Stone by J.K. Rowling<\/strong><\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<blockquote><a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.studentlife.utoronto.ca\/lifeatuoft\/files\/2018\/09\/IMG_3533.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-35479 size-medium\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.studentlife.utoronto.ca\/lifeatuoft\/files\/2018\/09\/IMG_3533-261x300.jpg\" alt=\"Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone by J.K. The title says it all, and this book crosses multiple areas of study to consider how humans have developed over time.
