In addition to never getting the amount of sleep my body would like, I\u2019m also guilty of eating pretty badly or rather, just <\/span><b>forgetting<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> to eat. Breakfast seems to be the meal I am most guilty of missing <span class=\"_Tgc\">\u2014<\/span> instead, choosing to get 10 more minutes of sleep before the bus comes than eating the most important meal of the day. (Emann, I am not on your level of <a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.studentlife.utoronto.ca\/lifeatuoft\/2015\/12\/01\/becoming-a-morning-person-an-experiment\/\">early rising<\/a> just yet.) <\/span>\r\n\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">After a long day of studying or a 2 hour exam, I don\u2019t want to make myself dinner... I want pizza with olives and pineapple delivered to my door <span class=\"_Tgc\">\u2014<\/span> and quickly. <\/span>\r\n\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Since I know this is a bad road to go down, I want to help all our blog readers to resist the urge to call the neighbourhood pizza delivery person this exam period and instead, save money and big-time unnecessary \u2018stress-weight\u2019 with my favourite quick, easy and healthy recipes!<\/span>\r\n\r\n<strong>\u201cBest Blueberry Muffin Breakfast\u201d Smoothie<\/strong>\r\n\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">You will need: <\/span>\r\n<ul>\r\n\t<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">1\/2 - 1 cup of frozen blueberries (It really depends on how purple you like your smoothies to be)<\/span><\/li>\r\n\t<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">1 banana<\/span><\/li>\r\n\t<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">1\/4 cup of quick oats<\/span><\/li>\r\n\t<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">1 cup of milk (you can also substitute for almond\/soy\/coconut milk <span class=\"_Tgc\">\u2014i<\/span>f you\u2019re finding the smoothie a little thick feel free to add in more!)<\/span><\/li>\r\n\t<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">2 dashes of cinnamon <\/span><\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Add the ingredients together and blend for about 2 minutes!<\/span>\r\n\r\n<figure id=\"attachment_26792\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-26792\" style=\"width: 472px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.studentlife.utoronto.ca\/lifeatuoft\/files\/2015\/12\/smoothie-456814_1920.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-26792\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.studentlife.utoronto.ca\/lifeatuoft\/files\/2015\/12\/smoothie-456814_1920.jpg\" alt=\"a photograph of a blue and purple smoothie\" width=\"472\" height=\"318\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-26792\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">- taken from Pixabay.com<\/figcaption><\/figure>\r\n\r\n<strong>Extra \u201cgood stuff\u201d:<\/strong>\r\n\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Here are some extra ingredients to add if you\u2019re feeling adventurous! <\/span>\r\n<ul>\r\n\t<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">3 dates; pitted and squished\/chopped <span class=\"_Tgc\">\u2014 <\/span>this adds a lot of natural sweetness to your smoothie!<\/span><\/li>\r\n\t<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">1 teaspoon of vanilla extract: vanilla extract will give your smoothie extra \u201cmuffin\u201d vibes... so tasty.<\/span><\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<strong>\u201cThe Best Smoothie I\u2019ve Ever Made\u201d Smoothie<\/strong>\r\n\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">You will need: <\/span>\r\n<ul>\r\n\t<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">1 banana<\/span><\/li>\r\n\t<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">1\/2 cup of frozen berries (whatever you have in your freezer)<\/span><\/li>\r\n\t<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">1\/2 cup of mango\/peaches<\/span><\/li>\r\n\t<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">1 cup of orange juice (make sure it\u2019s 100% juice!)<\/span><\/li>\r\n\t<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">1\/2 cup of yogurt -<span class=\"_Tgc\">\u2014<\/span> I think raspberry, lime or coconut tastes best<\/span><\/li>\r\n\t<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The juice of half a lemon<\/span><\/li>\r\n\t<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">1\/2 cup of applesauce (I always use the Mott\u2019s applesauce, the flavoured ones are best <span class=\"_Tgc\">\u2014 e<\/span>specially the medley\u2019s with hidden veggies in them)<\/span><\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Add the ingredients all together in a blender, and blend for 2 and a half minutes. <\/span>\r\n\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">*If you find the smoothie is too thick, feel free to add a bit of cold water and blend it in!*<\/span>\r\n\r\n<strong>\u201cTerrific Tuna Salad Sandwich\u201d<\/strong>\r\n\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">You will need:<\/span>\r\n<ul>\r\n\t<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">One can of tuna<\/span><\/li>\r\n\t<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Celery\/Green Onion (or both!)<\/span><\/li>\r\n\t<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Mayonnaise<\/span><\/li>\r\n\t<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Lemon\/Lime Juice<\/span><\/li>\r\n\t<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Mustard<\/span><\/li>\r\n\t<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Basil<\/span><\/li>\r\n\t<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Lettuce<\/span><\/li>\r\n\t<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Whole grain bread<\/span><\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">How to do it:<\/span>\r\n<ol>\r\n\t<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Open the can of tuna, and drain out all the tuna juice. Put the drained tuna into a medium sized bowl, and using a fork \u201cstir &amp; squash\u201d the tuna around until it is flaky and in small pieces.<\/span><\/li>\r\n\t<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Dice the celery and\/or the green onion into very small pieces (about half the size of a dime or even smaller) and add it to your tuna! I like to dice almost an entire cup of mixed celery and green onion, this makes the tuna go a lot farther (#studentbudget) and it makes the sandwich much healthier!<\/span><\/li>\r\n\t<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Add a heaping spoonful of mayo, the juice of a full lemon\/lime, a squirt of mustard and 2 dashes of basil into the bowl. (This is not an exact science, so feel free to add ingredients to your own tastebuds!) Mix the ingredients all together. <\/span><\/li>\r\n\t<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Cut two slices of bread and wash two lettuce leaves up, once they are dry break them into smaller pieces. <\/span><\/li>\r\n\t<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">I like to put about 3 heaping spoonfuls of tuna salad onto my slice of bread before adding the lettuce on top and salt and pepper to taste. However, you may find this is too much or too little. Add your top piece of bread and \u201ctaaa-daaa\u201d: a delicious and easy sandwich!<\/span><\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n<figure id=\"attachment_26794\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-26794\" style=\"width: 455px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.studentlife.utoronto.ca\/lifeatuoft\/files\/2015\/12\/green-969099_1920.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-26794\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.studentlife.utoronto.ca\/lifeatuoft\/files\/2015\/12\/green-969099_1920.jpg\" alt=\"Photograph of chopping lettuce\" width=\"455\" height=\"344\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-26794\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">- taken from pixabay<\/figcaption><\/figure>\r\n\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">*This recipe generally makes two servings*<\/span>\r\n\r\n<strong>\u201cMadeline\u2019s Open-Faced BLT, hold the B.\u201d<\/strong>\r\n\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">You will need:<\/span>\r\n<ul>\r\n\t<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">2 slices of Whole Grain bread<\/span><\/li>\r\n\t<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">tomatoes<\/span><\/li>\r\n\t<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">arugula (you can substitute arugula for romaine lettuce, spinach, kale or even avocado slices... Whatever is in your fridge!)<\/span><\/li>\r\n\t<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Hellman\u2019s \u2018Olive Oil\u201d mayonnaise<\/span><\/li>\r\n\t<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Salt n\u2019 Pepper<\/span><\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">How to do it:<\/span>\r\n<ol>\r\n\t<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Toast the bread, and spread the mayo on both slices.<\/span><\/li>\r\n\t<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Make a nice layer of arugula on top of the mayo.<\/span><\/li>\r\n\t<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">With a knife, cut about 5 slices of tomato and cut the last slice in half, this way you have 2.5 slices of each piece of bread. <\/span><\/li>\r\n\t<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Put the tomato on top of your arugula and sprinkle with a bit of salt and pepper! <\/span><\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">*This recipe is so great because it only takes about 5 minutes to make. Just be careful; the tomatoes are kinda slide-y so I would not advise this as a good meal to eat over your of homework.*<\/span>\r\n\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">These recipes are all of my own creation and I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.
