These rituals often take place collectively at Robarts or any 24 hour Tim Hortons. Those who survive the festivities often leave with a mean caffeine addiction.\r\n\r\nThis event is infamous for its ability to instill anxiety in students that can be felt across campus. Nobody gets a prize.\r\n\r\nInstead of engaging in counterproductive bantering, why not become each other\u2019s support system. For me, it's easier to get through studying with friends than alone because I feel less stressed.\u00a0The bonus is that being less stressed provides for better cognitive function\u2014like <a href=\"\/\/resolver.scholarsportal.info.myaccess.library.utoronto.ca\/resolve\/09594388\/v05i0002\/205_sacf\">memory!<\/a>\r\n\r\n<strong>3. I will often take a few deep breaths before reading over my exam as a way to relax myself and to relieve my\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.sdc.uwo.ca\/learning\/mcanx.html\">anxiety.<\/a>\r\n\r\n<strong>8.\u00a0Realizing there\u2019s only 15 minutes left in the exam and I\u2019ve only completed a third of the exam.<\/strong>\r\n\r\n<figure id=\"attachment_18482\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-18482\" style=\"width: 500px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.studentlife.utoronto.ca\/lifeatuoft\/files\/2013\/10\/10.gif\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-18482\" alt=\"Source: http:\/\/motionlmags.tumblr.com\/post\/54097691892\/surpassed-600-followers\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.studentlife.utoronto.ca\/lifeatuoft\/files\/2013\/10\/10.gif\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-18482\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Source: http:\/\/motionlmags.tumblr.com\/post\/54097691892\/surpassed-600-followers<\/figcaption><\/figure>\r\n\r\nI find the best strategy for this again, is prevention. I scan through my test for the first 3-5 minutes of the exam and allot time for each section. One of the worst mistakes I have made is spending too much time on the short answer question, and leaving no time to answer the long questions where the bulk of my mark resides. I tell myself: \"the time it takes other people to complete an exam is a variable independent of your abilities!\"\r\n\r\nOne thing is sure: feeling anxious is very natural during exam season. In fact, anxiety is a good thing to feel in limited amount since it can help motivate us to do better!\r\n\r\nThese are things that I have tried and that work for me.
