The Centre for Community Partnerships (CCP) continued its commitment to advancing community-engaged learning (CEL) by offering graduate students from across the university workshops on the pedagogy and practice of community-engaged teaching and learning.
A total of 161 graduate students, primarily doctoral students, underwent CEL training. Of these students, 145 attended specialized CEL workshops, and 16 students participated in a year-long Doctoral CEL Seminar, where students contributed to monthly seminars and undertook collaborative research projects with community partners.
Graduate training programs focused on community engagement create opportunities for emerging researchers and instructors to learn about this innovative pedagogical approach and contribute to meaningful connections between students at the University and the communities they are part of.
