In the past year, Accessibility Services developed and implemented the Experiential Learning Accommodations Coordinator role, a new support for staff, faculty and students, who works collaboratively with accessibility advisors and an accommodations specialist.
This collaboration has resulted in tailored resources for accessibility advisors, as well as faculty and staff across various professional faculties. Accommodation documents for practicums, clinical placements, rotations and medication management labs are now available or pending approval, ensuring a comprehensive approach to supporting students in diverse learning environments.
Extending beyond campus boundaries, involvement in the VLS eCampus Ontario Core Project underscores the University’s commitment to equity. The development of self-paced employer-facing modules addresses equity-centered hiring, onboarding and retention practices, fostering inclusive workplaces for all.
