Inspired by student-centred data collected by the Indigenous Students’ Association, this workshop was created by Rick Poweless with the social determinants of health and food access in mind. Created in a way that would be accessible to as many students as possible, this workshop featured traditional foods and cooking methods, and contributed to creating an overall culture of care. This event was greatly enjoyed by the students who were deeply engaged in the content. This workshop was driven by the communicated needs of Indigenous Students at U of T and created to respond to the cultural needs of the overall community.
