In 2022-23 the Office of the Chief Administrative Officer (OCAO) moved all of their files to SharePoint. Prior to the move, due to their administrative nature, most paperwork needed to be printed (sometimes multiple copies) and filed. Using SharePoint streamlined processes, conserved valuable resources and enhanced overall efficiency.
This technological leap facilitates a seamless transition to a hybrid, team-oriented environment, fostering cross-training and ensuring business continuity. Vigilant monitoring of user access, adherence to FIPPAs standards for record-keeping and a flexible records management system underscore OCAO’s commitment to meticulous governance. A standout achievement: a staggering 84% reduction in paper consumption, with 21,094 fewer pages printed compared to the pre-pandemic fiscal year, showcasing their dedication to sustainability and technological advancement.
