The Student Success team conducted a Signature Program Assessment (SPA) to evaluate the effectiveness of CLNx training across various stakeholders. The CLNx has notably expanded its reach, now supporting 15 departments at UTSG, tri-campus career services, more than 370 portal staff, serving 49,420 students and 5,217 recent grads annually.
Through the SPA, training opportunities were identified within Student Life Departments. While stakeholders demonstrated reasonable comfort with setting up appointments, there was a desire for more training on the service log. Additional needs included a refresher on advanced event setup, staff ownership and prerequisites, as well as clearer guidance on attendance tracking and standardization across units. Low understanding levels were observed regarding the program tracker, experiential Learning modules, and data interpretation from Tableau reports.
To address these gaps, the team recommended regular “Ask Us Anything” sessions for staff, which have been successfully implemented. A CLNx SharePoint site with asynchronous video tutorials is currently in development, and the team is also exploring the creation of a student attendance portal to address registration issues, with specific details yet to be determined. Overall, the Student Success team aims to enhance training and support offerings based on SPA findings to better serve their diverse stakeholders.
