In 2021-22, funding was secured for two important positions within the Division of Student Life, specifically aimed at advancing our strategic goal of active inclusion and belonging.
Student Engagement followed up on the 2020-2021 Black Student Engagement Report by creating the one-year role of Black Student Engagement Coordinator. This coordinator will work in partnership with students, staff and faculty to implement the recommendations of the 2020-2021 report.
Funding was also secured for a Manager EDI Support which will live within the Student Experience Cluster. A robust position description and accessible, inclusive and targeted recruitment/hiring process was developed after a comprehensive and intentional process. The Manager EDI Support is expected to begin the role in 2022-23.
