Looking for something to do with the kids today? Check out these live, FREE virtual event for children and parents. Great for when you need a quick activity to keep the kids occupied, or are looking for helpful information for yourself. All dates are reported in Eastern Daylight Savings Time (EDT). uOttawa’s Virtual Wellness Events: Throughout the day
Various live, virtual events related to wellness in English and French. These include live exercise, healthy eating tips, beading circles, and more. Many are open to the broader community.

YMCA’s Facebook Live Fitness and Storytime Events: Throughout the day
The YMCA GTA offers daily free live fitness and story time events for the whole family at various times throughout the day. Classes are offered on a near hourly basis.

Virtual Exercise with University of Toronto’s KPE Sport and Recreation: Throughout the day
The University of Toronto’s Department of Sport and Recreation offers FREE live exercise to students (or for a small fee to non-students) daily during mornings, afternoons, and evenings via Zoom and Instagram live.

Splash and Boots Facebook Live: Various times
Facebook Lives with activities and performances offered at various times throughout the day.

Flor Bromley’s Facebook Lives: Various times
Flor is a puppeteer, singer, storyteller and actress who presents for children up to 8 years old.  

Toronto Zoo’s Zookeepers Live: 1:00 PM
Adults and children of all ages can learn about the various species at the Toronto Zoo directly from its zookeepers through this Facebook live.

Read Aloud with Dan Gutman: 2:00 PM
Dan Gutman, author of My Weird School, reads from one of his books every weekday until school resumes.

Lunch Bunch with Connecticut Science: 12:00 PM
Join scientists from the Connecticut Science Centre during lunch as they offer programming to elementary students on programming, robotics, physics, biology and much more!

WEDNESDAYS

Mini Master’s Art Studio: 11:00 AM
Stories and hands-on activities for children ages 5-12. Runs until August 12, 2020.

THURSDAYS
