Rachel

My name is Rachel Cohen and I’m currently in my third year of study at the UofT St. George Campus, majoring in Political Science and Criminology, with a minor in Cinema Studies. I am a dual Canadian-American citizen and having lived in the capital cities of Washington D.C, Berlin and Ottawa, I moved to Toronto to start school in the fall of 2016. Through my time at UofT, both living on campus and off, I’ve made it my mission to push myself to get involved in university clubs, extracurricular events and academic based forums. While studying in the metropolis of Toronto has been both an interesting and fulfilling experience, it’s made me realize the value of immersing oneself in university life and the importance of building community in such a large city. Over my past few years on campus, I’ve been involved in a multitude of extracurricular activities, such as Hillel as a Young Jewish Student Entrepreneur, UTMUN Model United Nations as a Vice Director, UOFT BestBuddies, Varsity Newspaper as a copy-editor, and UNICEF. In my free time, I love exploring the city and hanging out with friends, as well as reading and perfecting the art of being a “foodie!”
