With the last few days of Ramadan in full swing, it seems appropriate to reflect on this month’s experience. This year, in particular, was a different than the usual. I have been taking summer courses for the past few months…
In Which I Close a Chapter
It's hard to believe we're at the end of the year. I feel like I say this every end of April, but school went by so fast; scarily fast. It seems like just last week I was putting on boots and trudging through the snow-- oh wait, that was last week! Jokes aside (though Canadian weather is not a joke sometimes), I wanted to squeeze out one last blog post for the wonderful folks who read my work all year. Getting Creative Around U of T
I like to think I'm a creative person, but not in the traditional sense. I can't draw or sing (although, I wish I could), but I do enjoy photography and creative writing. In high school, I took a course called…
Communing Together Through Writing
I have brought up drop-in programs a couple of times in past blogs. From discussion groups to fitness classes, there are a lot of offerings on campus that allow you to get involved with something without requiring you to make…
Musing About Reading Week
Reading Week has come and gone, and now we're back to classes. Sigh. Every year, I look forward to the much deserved break and yet again, I fail to realize how quickly a week can go by. I always start…
