Boluwatife

Hey besties!! My name is Boluwatife Ogunniyi, my pronouns are she/her. I am going into my third-year pursuing a double major in Global Health and Bioethics. I was born in Nigeria but my family moved to Parry Sound at the start of Grade 4 and prior to that, we lived in Jamaica for a few years. I am super passionate about healthcare, especially from a global perspective and how it affects minorities and BIPOC individuals.

During my free time, I love to read, re-watching sitcoms like HIMYM, Modern Family, Boy Meets World, Grey’s Anatomy etc. (The Office and Brooklyn 99 are next on my to-watch list:) I absolutely love to listen to music and my music taste is pretty eclectic; one second I could be listening to Hans Zimmer and the next, Amapiano. This year I’m an incoming Community Engagement Co-Director at the Feminist Equal Rights Alliance (which I’m SUPER excited about) as well as a Peer Educator at Let’sStop Aids which is an organization in Toronto that aims to raise awareness and destigmatize issues surrounding HIV/Aids. As someone who also has a small business, I think I bring a different perspective to how one can live a balanced a full-filled life, do all the things you love while also balancing your academic life as well. I also currently live at Chestnut Residence (I also did last year), so you can expect to see some content about rez life as well! I am SO excited to connect with you all!!!
