Alex is a first-year Computer Engineering student who is somehow finding enough time in his schedule to be the 2015-16 First-Year Blogger here at the Life @ U of T blog. He hails from the distant land of Vancouver, and is looking forward to exploring Toronto in a quest to prove that West Coast is in fact best coast. In his free time, Alex enjoys photography, binge-watching TV shows and movies, catching the football match with a few mates, and reading up on the latest in tech news. He is a lifelong Man Utd fan and is always up for some banter, as well as a loyal Minnesota Vikings supporter. His favourite book is Ready Player One by Ernest Cline, and he is a strong proponent of the Oxford comma. When not in class or holed up in his dorm studying, Alex can be found lounging in the ECE Common Room.
