Gearin’ Up Again!

It’s that time of year again everyone and I hope you've all had stellar summers. I know I did. After 4 months filled with two jobs, music festivals, cottage country, and an overall great time with awesome people, I have to say it’s good to know that there are a heap of readings and papers coming my way to ruin all the fun (I joke…. But seriously one more month?.... please?) Well, since summer is gone I've decided to make my first post a short list of things I’ve personally "missed" about U of T: - First and foremost how could I not have missed our trusty portal website; logging in and then asking me if I want to log in again (you know just in case I was like “nah I’m just here to admire the webpage layout”).  You know me too well portal.

  - Those $150 textbooks from the book store. First year student: “But the prof says I need the neeewwwest edition” Me: “Yeah and Apple says I need to drop another $500 for a new phone because now it comes in all the colours of the rainbow, but you don’t see me running for my credit car… holy%$&* they have it in pink!"
Wow...... just wow

But truly the thing I missed the most was crossing the street into Queen's Park between classes.  Nothing interrupts a conversation between a cute classmate and yourself quite like, “WATCH OUT FOR THE CAR!”

Too much sarcasm for my first post? Yeah, I thought so too. The truth is I love U of T!  In spite of my tiny pet peeves, we truly go to a wicked university and I don’t even need to convey that in words.  After all who has a frosh week as killer as we do? Parade time again anyone?

I guess we will have to wait until next year. In the meantime, I suppose its time to hit the books for a bit; but hey, start your year off right and don’t forget to sign up for some clubs and make it out to some events this year as well. Until next week Shak
