Changes are a-coming

Something's afoot on lifeatuoft. lifeatuoft will soon be lifeatuoft no longer. Our beloved lifeatuoft blog is getting a makeover. Am I trying to say lifeatuoft as many times as I can before I can't call the blog lifeatuoft anymore? Yes. lifeatuoft. Even though we're changing our name, the blog isn't going anywhere! Starting very, very soon, lifeatuoft will become -- wait for it -- Life @ U of T. Regular readers of lifeatuoft may be wondering why we're changing things around here. We've had lifeatuoft Bloggers and Student Ambassadors. Both teams were awesome, but worked separately. In an effort to streamline and give you the best of the best of student life, present to you -- The Community Crew. Yes, U of T. We've now got our very own hard-core Crew. The name of their game? Life. At U of T. Simple, succinct, straightforward. They'll be delivering the best of student life through the blog, Facebook and Twitter. We've hired some members of the crew, and there are more to come in September. You will be able to read a bit about the first five in our upcoming edition of the Life @ U of T publication. But why wait? You can meet them right here, right now! To spice things up, I've asked them some questions. Take at look:

Sarah - Team Captain Some of you may know Sarah from last year. Her followers call her Super Sarah, because, well, she does everything! She's @Sarah_UofT on twitter, and she'll be tweeting there again this year, along with blogging on Life @ U of  T. 1. What is your favourite brand of toothpaste? Colgate Luminous ---because it promises to make my teeth look like diamonds. 2. What would be your super power? Reactive adaptation like Lifeguard from X-Men --I 'm good at becoming what I need to be in order to survive in unfavourable conditions. 3. If you could be any animal, what would you be? I'd probably be an octopus (is that considered an animal?) because of all the multitasking I do. 4. Any hidden talents? Critical/esoteric analysis -- a lot of people dont understand the extremes I go to when analyzing things, objects, books, theories or people. There's a sub-text to everything! Chris - Community Builder Little known fact: After our first meeting, Chris and I decided that we are twinsies - long story. That said, Chris is wayyy more exciting than I am. For one thing, the guys looks like a celebrity. Look for his tweets @Chris_UofT. 1. What is your favourite brand of toothpaste Crest 3D Whitening for a TV white smile 🙂 2. What would be your super power? My super power would be the ability to persuade people to do whatever I want! 3. If you could be any animal, what would you be? I'd be a white tiger so I can party in Vegas. 4. Any hidden talents? I can tie a cherry stem with my tongue! Khevna - Community Builder Unfortunately, Khevna wasn't around to answer my questions. No, she's not avoiding me! She's actually abroad doing awesome stuff. What awesome stuff? Look for her tweets @Khevna_UofT in July and find out. UPDATE: Khevna got back to me! So let's see what her answers are... 1. What is your favourite brand of toothpaste? Colgate or Crest Cinnamon flavoured (cause it doesn't taste like toothpaste) 2. What would be your super power? Flying (so I can easily get to where ever I needed to be) 3. If you could be any animal, what would you be? Monkeys (they always look like they are chilling or having fun) 4. Any hidden talents? Those are a secret 😛 Abdullah - Blogger Hidden behind the busy and ever-studious Life Science facade is a critical and punny writer. Abdullah will definitely keep things interesting around here. He will start blogging on Life @ U of T in July. 1. What is your favourite brand of toothpaste? ‎Aquafresh, because it sounds like some rejuvenating element that people use to stay energized (the anti kryptonite for aqualad) and have minty fresh teeth.  2. What would be your super power? The ability to move/levitate things (it's leviOsa, not levioSA). This way, I don't have to leave my room for food! 😀 3. If you could be any animal, what would you be? A koala bear. They eat eucalyptus leaves, and sleep. So basically the life of a student minus classes.  4. Any hidden talents? I can burp the alphabet. Don't ask me to do it though.  Vahini - Blogger This is how Vahini describes herself: "Pop culture fan, blog enthusiast, book & tea connoisseur. A student by day and a real people person by mid-day & on weekends." Yup, sounds about right. She will start blogging on Life @ U of T in July. 1. What is your favourite brand of toothpaste? ‎Colgate 🙂 (or anything minty really!) 2. What would be your super power? Teleportation (so many reasons: less troublesome than Apparition/ would help the Earth out/ I wonder if they would still accept air miles?)  3. If you could be animal, what would you be? I would be a monkey- for some reason they always look like they are having the most fun?  4. Any hidden talents? The amount of things I can do while simultaneously texting on my phone (It's such a shame that RIM has no idea!) There you go, U of T! Are you excited for your new Community Crew?
