After a two-year hiatus, the Santa Claus parade is back on the streets of Toronto. Watch the parade as they bring back the floats, bands, marchers, Celebrity Clowns, and – of course – Mrs. Claus and Santa. Toronto’s Santa Claus Parade started in 1905. It is said to be one of the oldest Santa Claus parades in the world, and one of the largest parades in North America. If you would rather watch the parade on TV, it is airing two weeks later on CTV: December 3 at 7 pm.

Bloor-Yorkville Holiday Magic

There’s a beautiful display of festive lights, including 130 lit-up trees, in Yorkville between November 26 and New Year’s Eve. The Bloor-Yorkville festive season kicks off with a Holiday Magic concert on November 26, 5-7 pm. The concert features Grammy and JUNO award-winning Canadian singer Chantal Kreviazuk and is hosted by Traci Melchior, Etalk host and Canada’s Drag race judge. The event is free, with donations supporting the Canadian Foundation for Aids Research (CANFAR).

Festival of Trees

The second-annual Mississauga Festival of Trees will be held at the Small Arms Inspection Building between December 2-11, 2022. The pay-what-you-can festival features displays of seasonal lights, art installations created by local artists, artisan and culinary markets, entertainment and public workshops, live entertainment, and tasty treats. Twinkle After Dark

Twinkle After Dark is an immersive outdoor, countryside experience. The trail is 1-kilometre long and located on the grounds of Country Heritage Park in Milton. Visitors enjoy a scenic walk featuring illuminated historic buildings, holiday projections, costumed actors, and festive music. Along the path, grab a hot chocolate and a warm Beavertail while saying hello to Santa! The trail is wheel-chair accessible, and stroller and wagon friendly.
