Here at the University of Toronto, there are a variety of programs available for families. Below we have compiled a list of some of the family programming that is offered at the St. George Campus through the University of Toronto Faculty of Kinesiology and Physical Education (KPE):
- Skating: On ice, you can participate in drop-in skating, drop-in figure skating and family skating (schedule linked). The drop-in skating and drop-in figure skating programs occur weekly, while family skating occurs only when scheduled.
- Fun Swim: Enjoy the water with your family during KPE’s fun swims, which are offered on a weekly basis (schedule linked). Please note that a parent or guardian who is able to swim must accompany children to the pool and be within the pool area for the purposes of supervision.
- Squash and Table Tennis: If you are looking for something a little different, you can book the faculty’s squash and table tennis courts on Saturdays and Sundays.
- Yoga: On specific dates, KPE even offers drop-in yoga where you can “stretch, bend and breathe with the whole family!”
In addition to their family programing, KPE offers several year round Junior Blues programs. These programs provide classes and instruction in a variety of activities, including volleyball, soccer, gymnastics, basketball and mini sport/multi sport. There are also a few certification workshops in first aid & CPR, lifeguarding, and babysitting.
