The sap has started to run and that only means one thing — it’s maple syrup season!
With March Break in full force the city is thriving and with activities specifically geared towards kids and their families. In my own opinion, nothing beats a Maple Syrup festival, and there are literally hundreds of them taking place across Ontario right now. It’s a great chance for the whole family to learn about how maple syrup is made while sampling some of the sticky stuff itself, not to mention the pancakes, petting zoo, wagon rides, guided tours of historic homes, tree climbing, kids crafts, and face painting. The best part is that many of the festivals and events across Ontario are free or low cost.
