Join Our Weekly Drop-In Sessions!

A virtual community for students, by students.

Stories from a Distance: Being Together While Apart is a virtual space that has been running since March, 2020. This space encourages students to find community through conversation. Members can expect to be welcomed into a virtual space (over Zoom sessions) created by and for students looking to invest in meaningful connections within their campus community.

Whether it be sharing stories as a student, connecting with new individuals, or engaging in virtual activities with one another, this online community connects individuals in a time where isolation (and a need to connect with one another) is being experienced by many.

Sessions are on a drop-in basis do not require registration. We encourage individuals to subscribe to our blog and join our Facebook group to receive updates on our weekly programming schedules and resources. Participate as much or as little as you wish – this is a positive and supportive environment where you can just be you.

About Our Sessions

Each of our sessions holds space for students in a variety of ways. Whether it’s to casually connect through a trivia night, or to share experiences for organizing a busy life as a student, there’s a space for everyone! We will be hosting a selection of these sessions for the remainder of summer, as we prepare for hosting our regular 5-day week programming in the Fall!

The I-Hub student team invites everyone from the U of T community to sit back and gather around our virtual bonfire every Tuesday for meaningful conversations, interactive virtual activities, and connection building. Bring your favourite summer drink, snacks, or lunch to these casual, 1-hour virtual hangouts and share your stories with both new and old friends.
