The Innovation Hub welcomes a wonderful group of students into our team each term. We’re beginning this summer term with a skilled group of changemakers to usher in our eleventh year.

We are excited to introduce the fantastic team that will work on the Innovation Hub’s projects for the Summer 2026 term. Our interdisciplinary student team is comprised of changemakers from different programs of study across the University of Toronto. We’re passionate about using design thinking to explore the ways we can support our diverse student community to make positive change at U of T.
Our Projects
This summer, our team is gearing up for the upcoming Fall-Winter term by preparing for new projects, updating our design thinking curricula, and organizing screenings for our latest documentaries.
For our main project this year, we’re excited to revisit our Domains of Innovation and reevaluate what matters to U of T students and the larger community. We’re looking forward to collaborating with our partners and students from across the university to make this project possible. We’ll have more information about this project later in the summer, so stay tuned!
We’ve also recruited a curriculum design team for the first time which is a big milestone for us. This team is playing a critical role in updating our design thinking curricula, which informs how students learn at the Innovation Hub.
Lastly, we’re also working on alongside our community partners to host screenings of our most recent documentary projects, International Students: Global Changemakers and Neurodivergent at University. We couldn’t be more thrilled to share these two projects with the wider U of T community in the fall.
Our Diverse Team
At the Innovation Hub, we have an amazing team of changemakers who put people at the forefront of our research. This summer, the team at the Innovation Hub welcomes both returning members and newcomers who are excited to make a positive impact on students’ experiences on campus. Our team of students come from a wide range of diverse programs, backgrounds, and interests. These interdisciplinary and diverse experiences allow our work to flourish, and we are excited to tackle the design challenges for this summer’s projects.
