In the spring of 2021, TCard implemented online photo submission software and new card production software based on the recommendations of a 2019 review on the needs of U of T’s card technology and associated systems and services. That review included an environmental scan of postsecondary identity card services and consultation with more than 50 individuals/units across the three campuses.
The new photo submission software enables newly admitted students to submit their photos online, giving them more convenience and control over the photo that appears on their ID card.
The new card production software streamlines the process and supports improved printing, reporting and enhanced security.
