FYRST Mentorship Program


About the Program

 

The Mentors will work with all program participants to provide advice and guidance in two areas:  

 

1. Small-Groups

The small-groups will be facilitated by the mentors around issues of transition and adjusting to life at the university. Each participant will be placed into a group with peers who are in a similar field of study. The mentors are all upper-year students who also live in residence. 

 

2. Educational Programs

The mentors will work with the Residence Dons to organize a series of educational programs on topics such as healthy living, test taking skills, getting a summer job, etc. using various resources at the university. these study sessions.
